WHEELOCK - Mrs. M. M. Wheelock, wife of J. E. Wheelock, was born Oct. 21, 1845, and died at her home in Clarendon, Ark., Nov 1, 1884, after several weeks of painful suffering. She joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in 1867, and from that time to the day of her death exemplified the truth of her religion in a consecrated life. She was always ready for every good word and work. She loved the Church. In life’s last hours she thought of and talked about the Church. This devoted wife, kind neighbor, affectionate sister, and earnest Christian is no more. Gone to her reward in heaven. She will be missed by all classes - especially by the sick and poor. The writer preached her funeral sermon to a large and sorrowing congregation from 2 Tim. iv. 6-8. After which a large procession followed her to her last resting-place. Farewell, dear friend, we will meet again. R. B. Cavett
