George Ward

100 years ago, May 2, 1901: Helena - George Ward, for 16 years in the employ of R. McCoy Lumber Company, was run down and killed by a switch engine in the yards of the company. He was standing on the track watching a freight train on a parallel track and did not see the switch engine that came slowly toward him.
