Death of R. H. Sparkman.

Dr. Sparkman, a prominent citizen of St. Francis county died in Forrest City on Wednesday night, December 31st last. He was about 75 years of age. He was born in North Carolina but moved to this country long before the war and was engaged in the practice of medicine for years south of here. He moved to Forrest City years ago. He had long been a prominent member of the Baptist church. He served in the Confederate army with credit to himself. He leaves a lonely companion with whom he had journeyed through life for over forty years.
