Mollie K. (Crocker) Porter

This morning at 1 o'clock, Mrs. Mollie E. Porter, wife of Mr. William H. Porter, of the Pacific Express Co. force, died after a short illness, of malarial fever, which culminated in congestion.

Mrs. Porter was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Crocker, and a sad feature of her death lies in the fact that her mother is now lying dangerously ill with the same trouble which carried off her daughter. Mrs. Crocker is so ill, in fact, that she cannot be told of the death of her daughter.

Mrs. Porter was a most excellent woman in every respect. She was twice married, her first husband being the late Clay Porter, who was a cousin of her last husband. She leaves two children, Henry and Mary Lou, both of whom are very bright and interesting children.

The funeral will take place from the family residence this afternoon at 5 o'clock with services by Rev. Julien C. Brown. The following gentlemen will officiate as pall bearers :

H. Carvill, J. B. Pillow, C. C. Agee, Judge Thweatt, J. C. Barlow, Judge Nicholls, George Walker and Phil Manire.

The World unites with the many friends of this good woman in sympathy for the devoted husband and the bereaved children.
