Laura (Dalzell) Peterson

News was received in the city this morning of the death of Mrs. Jones Peterson, which occurred at her home near Blackton, Monroe County, on the Pine City branch of the Midland Road. Mrs. Peterson was one of the most prominently connected women in this section, having been born and reared at Marvell, and being formerly Miss Laura Dalzell, a sister of Deputy W. B. Dalzell of this city. She was also related to Sheriff F. F. Kitchens, who married a daughter, and was a sister of Mrs. J. M. Hudson of Poplar Grove. ….At the time of her death, Mrs. Peterson was about fifty-two years of age, and she leaves a husband and family, one son, Walter Peterson, being very well known in Helena, where he lived for some years. Mrs. Umsted of Newport is a daughter, and also Miss Claude Peterson, who makes her home with the family at Blackton. Sheriff Kitchens and daughter, Myrtle, Deputy Sheriff Dalzell and Assessor J. M Hudson went to Blackton this afternoon over the Midland to be present for the funeral, which will be held at the family home tomorrow.
