Annie M. Peete

"Peete - May 11, at her residence, corner Ringo and Eleventh streets, Mrs. Annie M. Peete, aged 60 years. Funeral tomorrow at 10 o’clock from Christian church, corner of Tenth and Louisiana streets. Friends of the family invited.”

The above notice was taken from the Arkansas Democrat of the 11th inst. Mrs. Peete was well known in Marianna, having at one time, resided here for several years, where she has many relatives and friends, who will be pained to hear of her death. She was the sister of Mesdames Hutton and Ragland, and the aunt of Mrs. J. M. Daggett and Mrs. J. E. Wood, of this place.

Mrs. Ragland immediately responded to a telegram summoning her to her bed-side, last Tuesday, but arrived too late to see her alive. She leaves a devoted husband and daughter, Miss Montine Saunders, to mourn her loss. May He who doeth all things well, comfort and sustain them.
