Dr. J. C. Paslay

Brinkley Locals: Death of an Old Citizen. On yesterday morning about 7 o’clock, Dr. J. C. Paslay, an old citizen of this place, died after a prolonged illness. Dr. Paslay was born in Lawrence County, S. C., June 18, 1828. Came to Arkansas in 1859 where he enlisted in the Confederate service during the war. He has been living in Monroe County about 20 years and leaves three children to mourn his death, Mrs. Lillie Hinton, Charles H. and William Paslay... The burial occured yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon at 4 o’clock.
