Fanny Owens

In Memory: Died on Cypress Ridge, Jan. 1st, 1910, Mrs. Fanny Owens, better known to us as "Granny," aged 72 years and six months. Mrs. Owens was born and raised in Alabama and afterwards moved to Arkansas. "Granny" professed religion when quite young and lived a true christian for fifty years. The Master called her home just at the dawn of the new year, after a well spent life of sunshine and loved by everyone. She was not afraid to die, but often spoke of going to a better world. We know it is hard for us to part with our dear old mothers, but we should live submissive to the Lord's will, for he does all things well. "Granny" recently visited J. R. Linsey and family, living only three days after returning home with her daughter, Mrs. E. E. Kelly. She leaves a daughter and a host of grand children and friends.
