John Nagele

John Nagele - On Sunday, Aug. 2nd, at 1:27 p. m., John Nagele departed this life at the age of 55 years and 8 days. Nr. Nagele was born July 25, 1848, in Germany, and came to America when a youth. For more than twenty years he had been a citizen of Clarendon, where he worked at the blacksmith’s trade. He was a kind husband and a good neighbor, and he leaves an afflicted wife to mourn his loss. He was a member of two benevolent orders ~ the Knights and Ladies of Honor, and the Woodmen of the World, several of whose members were present at the funeral. The funeral took place at the home on Monday, Aug. 3, and was conducted by Rev. T. N. Hunt. The interment took place in Shady Grove Cemetery. ....... Among those who attended the funeral from a distance were, Mr. Dillard, brother of Mrs. Nagele, and Mr. and Mrs. Williams of Denison, Texas.
