J. H. McGonnigal

Mr. J. H. McGonnigal, an old citizen of Helena, died last night after a long illness, which gradually wasted his life away. He was living at the time of his death near the Box Factory. He leaves a wife, but no children. His remains will be taken to Trenton this afternoon, where he will be buried with Masonic rites. Mr. McGonnigal was born in 1833, six miles from Helena. His father James McGonnigal, was one of the first settlers in Phillips County. Mr. McGonnigal wished to be buried at Trenton, beside the graves of his three children. He leaves a brother, Mr. A. B. McGonnigal, who lives on Old Town Ridge. Dr. Corrigan held a funeral service at the house, at 1:30 p.m.
