Obituary of Mollie Loughery

LOUGHERY: In this city, Dec. 27, 1961, Mollie Loughery, beloved wife of the late Joseph Loughery, loving mother of Howard Douglas, Mrs. Gladys Roberts and the late Bessie Farley and Fred Loftus; also survived by 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. A native of Arkansas; aged 88 years. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. from the chapel of H. F. Suhr Co., 2919 Mission St. near 25th, thence to St. Kevin's Church, Cortland Ave., near Ellsworth, where a Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment Holly Cross Cemetery, Recitation of the Rosary Friday at 8 p.m. Visiting hours until 9 p.m.

Note: Mollie Loughery was born 13 March 1873 in Lee Co., AR, daughter of John Curtis and Catherine Tate who married in 1859 in Monroe Co., AR. She is shown in the 1880 Lee Co. census living with siblings but went to California shortly thereafter to live with Ingram cousins.
