B. J. Lambert

Maj. B. J. Lambert Dead. The news of the death of Maj. B. J. Lambert reached here Tuesday morning. He had been sick several days with malarial fever, and died of that disease.
Few men will be missed as Maj. Lambert will be. His long residence in the county, and his identity of interest with it and its people has rendered him almost a fixture. He came here during the 50's and has been engaged in agricultural and mercantile pursuits ever since. He was born in Madison county, Tenn., in 1838, and was 52 years of age. He was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, of Indian Bay Lodge No. 259, A. F. and A. M. And of Forest Home Chapter of this city.... He leaves a wife and several children. ...
