A. J. Gregory

A. J. GREGORY - DEAD

The deceased was born in Middle Tennessee, Nov. 26, 1851, and died at his home near Vineyard, Phillips County, Arkansas, Oct. 28, 1898.

He was taken on Sunday with the Fatel illness, Hematuria, and lingered until Friday night, when; surrounded by a host of friends and relatives, he peacefully and quietly, without a struggle, passed from the troubles and trials of this life into eternal peace and rest, there to await the reunion with us who loved him.

Farewell, Jack, but not forever, For we shall meet beyond the river.

About 15 years ago he publicly acknowledged Jesus as his Saviour, and while he never united with any church of the modern type we are satisfied by the life he lead that GOD has called him home to a mansion of rest, prepared for him before the foundation of the world.

He was a devoted husband and loving father, and as a neighbor he was all that people could desire. He was a man of purity, and he lived a blameless life, and can be held up to the rising generation as a model.
