William Foster

FOSTER: William Foster, a well known merchant of the Westover neighborhood, died at his home on the Rabb place Saturday night of paralysis. He was bout sixty years of age and was known to all the people of the neighborhood in which he had lived for a great many years. Mr. Foster came to Phillips County from West Tennessee several years ago and engaged in business on the “front” Rabb place, where he put up a little furnishing store and where he did a considerable business in the way of furnishing supplies, etc, to the people of the neighborhood. He was one of the most quiet and conservative of men, and lived there alone with his good wife, who survives him. They had no children and so far as is known, no relatives in this part of the country.
