J. S. Erwin

ERWIN, Mr. J. S. “IN MEMORIAM" Hearts of people of Pleasant Grove and vicinity filled with sorrow and sadness on Thursday, September 29, when a telegram arrived from Marvell, Arkansas, announced that Mr. Erwin had passed away. Family had left Marshall County just over a year ago to make their home in Arkansas. He was born January 14, 1872, coming to Marshall from Hinds County, Mississippi, January 17, 1895; married Effie McKinney. Mr. and Mrs. Erwin lived in Marshall until August 28, 1903. Mr. Erwin joined the Methodist Church in August 1902.
