OLD CONFEDERATE SOLDIER DIES - MR. FRANK CHISM

The death angel visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Harrod on Thursday morning of last week and took her father, Mr. Frank Chism, respected citizen of the Stevens community, near Holly Grove.

The deceased was an old Confederate soldier, one of the last few in the county, and was 86 years old. Surviving him are seven children, 28 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and three brothers.

Services were held and interment made in the Franks’ Cemetery on last Friday morning at 11:00 o’clock, Rev. Mason officiating.
