Lon Bonner - Obituary. (The headline is missing and the first few lines are torn.) He was born June 2, _ was 18 years and a few __ of age. He was a son of the late W. H. Bonner who was assessor of this county from 1882 to 1886. He leaves two sisters and one brother, Mrs. R. N. Counts and Mrs. Wm. E. Spencer, of this city, and W. Trent Bonner, of Somerville, Tenn., and a number of near relatives in Missouri, Tennessee and Virginia. Lon was young and vigorous, of splendid physical proportions and robust constitution. He died just when the promise of life seemed the brightest, and as youth almost merged into manhood. The funeral took place from the residence of Mr. R. N. Counts, at 2 o’clock in the afternoon, Sunday, November 9th. Quite a large number of friends of the deceased accompanied the remains to Shady Grove Cemetery, where the interment was made beside the father who had gone two years before. The funeral services were conducted at the grave by the Rev. R. B. Cavett, who spoke many words of cheer and consolation to the relatives of the deceased and gave some timely advice to the young men present.
