W. S. Beard Obituary

W. E. Beard’s Father Died Saturday.

W. S. Beard, 74, died in a Little Rock hospital Saturday night after an illness of several years. He was born in Mississippi October 2, 1856, and moved with his parents to near Pine Bluff when two years of age, where he spent the greater part of his life. He made his home in Clarendon for several years, until his health became such that he required hospital care.

Funeral services were held at Pine Bluff Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, burial being in Bellwood Cemetery there in charge of S. E. Brown & Son of Clarendon.

In addition to his son, W. E. Beard, of this city, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. C. Clark of Joliet, Ill., and by a large number of other relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Beard and family returned Tuesday night from Pine Bluff.
