This cemetery is on land in Monroe County, Arkansas, purchased by Jordan Bennett Lambert on 30 Sep 1840. It is located in the middle of a field. The land is now owned by Samuel Pointer Hall. Inventoried January 15. 1990 by Jo Claire English.
Rev. Jordan B. Lambert, b. May 9, 1798, d. Jan 11, 1860. (Large stone, missing a tall slender ornament which is leaning near the large stone base.) The base is inscribed “LAMBERT” and the ornament is not inscribed. Two other sides of the Lambert stone have inscriptions.
No stone was found for Judith Key Lambert, wife of Jordan B., who died about 1866/1868.
No stone was found for Robert B. Lambert, son of Jordan & Judith, b. 23 Apr 1828 & who d 11 Apr 1862 during the Civil War. According to family members, his body was supposedly brought back for burial.
Beverly Joel Lambert, son of Jordan & Judith, is buried in the Valley Grove Cemetery which is nearby. He was b. 4 May 1838 d 13 Nov 1890.
Another son Samuel Thomas Lambert n 11 Sep 1840 d 22 Mar 1896 Pierce City, MO.
Three children who supposedly died young were not found here.
At the edge of the cemetery is the following stone: Cornelia Hoard, faithful member of Lone (One?) Star Circle No 124, d. Apr 6, 1920.
A stone with Wilburn but no other information is also in this cemetery.
