Phillips - Lee - Monroe Counties in Eastern Arkansas
At Latour, AR out in a field about 1/2 mile from Latour (in view of RR track) and about 10 or 12 miles from Helena, is the burial ground of the Edwin A. Hicks family. Edwin was a brother of John H. Hicks, and lived about three miles away. All the stones are down, some of the bodies have been moved and the graveyard almost destroyed.

Note: John Haywood Hicks was the first child, Edwin Augustus Hicks was the fourth child of Daniel Hicks (b. 1754, d. May 27, 1812) and Mary E. A. Hare Croom (widow of Isaac Croom and dau of Jesse and Elizabeth Haywood Hare). |
